What Is Solution Focused Hypnotherapy (SFH)?
Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is a type of talking therapy that combines psychotherapy with hypnosis. Hypnosis, or ‘trance’, is a very natural, relaxing state that allows the mind to focus deeply on positive suggestions and thoughts.
As a modern, evidence-based approach, SFH uses practical, structured strategies to create meaningful change in a relatively short time. The focus is on solutions, not problems—we explore what you want to achieve and work together to make it happen, rather than dwelling on past issues.
Your Initial Consultation
During your first session, we’ll spend time getting to know each other and discuss what you hope to achieve. I’ll gather some general background and medical information and explain how your brain works and how hypnosis can help you move forward.
You’ll also learn simple tools and techniques you can start using immediately to make positive steps toward your goals. Many clients find this session enlightening and empowering. At the end of your consultation, I provide an MP3 recording to listen to each night, helping you continue the process at home.
Focusing on Solutions Together
SFH is a collaborative process. We work on the changes that matter most to you, focusing on positive outcomes rather than past problems. This solution-focused approach helps you move forward and create meaningful change in a short period of time.
Your Session
Sessions last approximately 1 hour at £60, giving you plenty of time to relax fully and focus on yourself.
During sessions, we focus on the future, not the past. You won’t be asked to relive traumatic events. My goal is to create a completely safe, non-judgmental space where you can feel calm, supported, and fully at ease.
